Thato Masia is a Clinical Psychologist and health-tech innovator passionate about transforming the way psychological and medico-legal reporting is delivered. With a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Rhodes University and a reputation as a trusted mental health voice on national media platforms, Thato brings both expertise and vision to the field.

Recognised as an Alan Gray Fellow for her entrepreneurial leadership, Thato founded MedicoTech™ to address one of the industry's most pressing challenges: delays and inefficiencies in psychological reporting. Her approach blends deep clinical knowledge with technology-enabled processes, ensuring that organisations receive accurate, consistent, and timely reports without compromising professional standards.

Thato's work is amplified by her collaboration and research with South Africa's leading healthcare and academic authorities such as Prof. Solly Rataemane, a renowned psychiatrist and former Head of the Department of Psychiatry at Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University; Dr. Itumeleng Funani, a health governance strategist with deep expertise in partnerships across South Africa's Department of Health and innovation ecosystems; and Dr. Jacob Poo, a specialist in digital health systems and clinical integration.
